Meta Lake, USFS Road 99. Luckily for the plants and animal life on the shore and in the water, Meta Lake was safely buried beneath the spring snowpack when the volcano erupted. Also, a small ridge to the south blocked the brunt of the explosion. Trees on the north shore didn't fare as well, but the fish in the lake survived.
